Keith Lenhar 1980 Shady grove ramp. Special Thanks to The Bouncing Souls for providing the Music.

It is unbelievable the level of skating that Keith attained in 1980 not even sure where you would have even seen a pic of a frontside invert let alone try one back then…great stuff

Thanks to everyone who has subscribed and contributed to the podcast so far. It has been well received and is climbing up the I-Tunes ranks. If you enjoy what you see feel free to leave us a review.

Thanks

Five sheets of plywood and several cords of firewood? I believe skate architecture has evolved into  more economic designs than this but hey it was all uncharted territory back then…you had to skate what you could build.

That’s me in freakin 1980 man!  London Calling, Freedom of Choice, Back In Black all just released into the world.  Hard to believe they were ever “new”.  Like us I guess.

Im not gonna go too far out on a limb here and say these are from the infamous Cherry Hill Skate Park in South Jersey. I can also somewhat safely assume that they where taken by Tom’s Father. Well its all there in these picks lip tricks, big frontside airs, standing tall on the coping. I wonder what the other kids at the park where doing.

Tom will be forever tied to this place. His name has became synonymous with the place.

As for Cherry Hill if you don’t know the story well I’m not gonna make it up for us. We must refer to those that lived it:
